Is there more or less bass in the Denon D7000 than the modded D5000?

This is not off of personal experience, but off of hear-say, but i believe that the modded D5000 has less bass. The damping does quite a bit, as i have heard for myself on my D2000s, and i think the D7000 without damping will have more. This is not to say anything about the variation of refinement however.
