BASS. A "man thing" ???

I just got a Tumult to use with my K1000s.

I wonder if extreme bass will attract the ladies and hopefully not the landlord or neighbors. What an experiment! Although I have some cute neighbors, it will take some extreme levels to get to the other side of the building. I'm afraid my windows will shatter before then.

But I myself dont like loud bass. It's rather annoying.

Depending on the music playing while love making, you can tell who's a basshead.

I enjoy bass, but not from the guy upstairs at 3am, who joins it with drunken shouting. He's about to find himself evicted. The insulation is good in this building, but we've gone up there to chat with him, the sound is painfully loud. But he's drunk so what does he care?

The party starts on Wednesday and ends on Monday.

If you've ever been to a club, a frat party, or any other social instution/gather place designed to get girls on the dance floor, then you know that bass is pretty much the only thing that girls care about in that situation. I guess it's easier for them to feel the beat, so that they don't have to listen to the actual music in order to move to it. That's why otherwise nice girls can get down to the nastiest gangster rap to come out of Compton: they're feeling the bass, not the lyrics.

Then you get to be like gerG, although his system would be impressive for movies

...like the bass would make you short of breath

Sometimes in that situation I've found my system lacking, not because of the power, but because I don't want to blow my sub

, the amp can power it way more than it can handle in some situations. Unfortunately, I can't afford another one (of the woofers)

, otherwise, it'd own all

The women always go after the tenors. Us bass singers are always left to be lonely. Oh woe! The women describe our singing as "drunken shouting"!

LOL, I had a non-sexual kind of crush on my first voice teacher, and he was... a bass! :P And his voice sounded nothing like drunken shouting.

How many operas is it where the romantic lead is the bass? I know there must be some, but I've only been in one.

There are a lot. I'm only just getting in to opera in voice lessons, so I don't have very much experience there. Also, I have to admit; I'm not a true bass! I'm more of a baritone.

In regards to the thread, I think the enjoyment of bass is associated with a personality type rather than being gender specific.

I think they only tell you that in order to lure you into being a bass.

- just kidding.... maybe.

But I agree. If it's in the music to groove, then we should groove. It's not a gender thing.
