Could I get a brief description of solderless terminating?
I've read on this forum that "banana plugs" are superior
to soldered connections-so solder is superfluous, or even
interferes with current?!?!
& are Radio Shack "banana plugs" acceptable? Will
clerks know what these are ?

Well, I would think a good air-tight crimp would be better than solder, and I doubt radioshack makes good bannana plugs.
