Hi guys, this is my first post on this forum.

I was directed here from overclock.net. I am a long time member there, and I have decided to up my audio on my desktop.

I am looking for a nice 2.1 setup, which I will be using for music and a little gaming.

I have no clue where to start, that is why I am asking you guys.

My budget is 200.00, if that is possible that is.

I recommend something like this.

I would really like a 5.1 setup, but because of space and such I have to keep it to 2.1.

You can always throw three of the speakers in the trash.
(5.1 - 3 = 2.1)

I've had the 2300's before, I'm looking for something a bit different. Thanks though!

2.0 is better than lower quality 2.1. You won't get a good quality pair of stereo speakers plus a subwoofer for $200 US. And since most cheap subwoofers sound like someone farting, I'd not bother getting one.

Look into a pair of active stereo speakers with decent low end response.

I got the creative gigawork, which is a 7.1 made by cambridge. I found them good for multimedia purpose but not for listening music, the bass is indeed bloated, unnatural and too strong, even with damping material beneath the sub.

i suggest to look for small audiophile speakers, check-out for a local hi-fi seller.

Swan M10

The Swan M10s would be your best bet. They're selling for $109 at that website.

I really like the looks and design of that setup! How is it quality wise though?
