Looking to buy a bargain headset and I have narrowed it down to the $20 JVC HARX500 and the $23 JVC HAS400s. What I am wondering which one of these will give me the best sound quality for listening to all kinds of music, but mostly rock/metal. The fact the the 500s are over ear and the 400s are on ear does not affect my decision that much, althought if they are pretty much the same I will probably go with the 500 for over ear design. I also don't want to do any modding if that matters.

I would assume(?) the HA-S400 sounds better (Carbon Nanotube diaphragm).
