I bought a Banzai V2 kit from http://www.electricsumo.com and I have a question:

If I wanted to replace the output jack and put a 6.35mm (1/4") jack on there instead, based on this pic:

How do I tell which of the pins are L/R/G?  Those jacks look like they have 5 pins, though in reality they only have 3.  Might be a tough(er) mod for a beginner like me to accomplish, but I'd like to try if I can.

Ultimately, I'd love to build my own using just the perforated PCB that I can get at Radio Shack, but at this point I don't know how to lay it all out to do that.

G is the middle pin on those jacks. As for L/R, it depends on how those jacks are wired internally. There's no part number for them on the site, but they seem to resemble this one:

If they are the same, or at least use the same layout, then the R pin is on the left side (top view), and the L pin is on the right side. Anyway, you can confirm it by doing a continuity check with a multimeter.

Tangent's tutorial is a great resource for building a perf board CMoy.

I think you're right in that, thanks.  That should help out a lot.

I will give Tangent's site a go at some point.  I tried following along but got lost the first time I looked through it.
