I'm hoping someone can help me with a bit of comparison. I owned a pair of A8 earphones from B&O for years and was very happy with them. Since they got chewed by my dog I've had to buy new earphones and started off with a set of Audio Technica CK6 canal-phones which are great, but lacking some of he staging that the B&O phones had.
 
I'm interested in a set of the Audio Technica ATH-EC700 earphones (very similar to the B&O A8s), but have no way of knowing how they'll compare in terms of sound style and quality. Does anyone have a comparison from experience or does anyone know somewhere in Melbourne that I could perhaps listen to the Audio Technicas?

i heard they share the same drivers.

 believe the a8 has the same driver as ath cm7 not ec700
