When I got an Asus laptop a while ago, I did not intend to use it for listening to music.
When eventually I did plug in my Grado’s, I was very impressed with its sound signature: open, clean, with a lot of authority.
I learned that the audio part was powered by “Bang & Olufsen ICEpower” technology:
http://www.icepower.bang-olufsen.com/en/solutions/mobile/mobilesound3/
According to their website, applications for this technology include:
• Smart phones
• Mobile phones
• Portable navigation devices (PNDs)
• PC speakers and similar
• USB powered speakers
• Docking stations
• Audio accessories
However, I can hardly find anything equipped with this technology,
I'd be very interested in a smartphone, audio network player or a USB headphone dac/amp with ICEpower.
Does anyone of you happen know such devices?
