So I found a used Bang And Olufsen RX-2 turntable in excellent condition (but without a cartridge) today for $225 and I was wondering if anyone had experience with these, if $225 is a good price, and if I should just save up a bit more and purchase a Thorens. Thanks.

cartridges for an rx are not easy to find as they are not available from b&o anymore.

there is someone in lubbock who works on beograms & may have parts.

you might want to save for a modern tt with interchangeable cartridges. tt's have come along way since 1983.

MMC 4 cartridges are being made by a separate company on the east coast but they go for about $200 each.
