Someone here use NU 6F8G as driver ? i've tried 2 nos of them and both make a '''fffffffffffffffffffffff'" background sound. I've never  heard this kind of problem with others 6F8G i have. On the 6sn7 thread, we suspect that NU 6F8G is not good to work with certain amplifier like BA ? What do you think about ?

I have used several 6f8g's including the NU and never had a problem.  Perhaps it's your adaptor?

my adaptator work well with my Tung Sol 6F8G's. any background noise like fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff with 300B or PX4 ? Maybe i've to burn few hours more perhaps ?

In my opinion the PX4 is in most things better then the 300B, especially soundstage, sweetness, differentiation and articulation. In the BA review of 6moons the reviewer stated he would go for a PX4 and never bothering with a 300B - and I can confirm this. I have two 300B, but since I have the PX4 they are resting in my cabinet.

It may be different if you use the BA as a pre-amp with good speakers (I actually only have headphones), but I doubt that this will change.

I have KR PX4s and agree they superb, but the Sophias are very fine too, just a little more hyper in the upper mids / lower treble, and it depends on the phones or speakers or system chain if that is very important.
The KR also has a trifle more silkiness and image-boundary refinement too. But again, I feel the Sophias are so refined on their own, I don't sweat the difference, even after a lot of listening with both of them on many phones and my speakers too.
I actually prefer the Sophias with my Oppo PM1 phones and my Audeze LCD3-classics. The KR is better with the Senn HD800 and Gradio PS1000e.

@ Feuergeist, where did you found a pair of AVVT recently ? A friend of mine who have a Balancing Act too, search about them.

I paid the same as the listed price, more or less.

Buy one before I go for another pair as a spare
