I just got this thougth:

If I use the Ibasso T2, that has 2 headphoneouts, and make to mono plugs for a set of headphones one for the right and one for the left, then plug both in to the two jacks on a T2.

Would that be considered balanced ??

Or am I way off..

AFAIK the Ibasso has got two amps in it, so it would be an amp for each channel, or does the signal-in, also need to be balanced ??

Just a crazy idea (maybe)

That would just be rca out.

EDIT: And also, the signal does have to be balanced coming in.

It doesn't have to be balanced going in. You can have a balanced preamp to a balanced amp but you don't have to have the signal from the source as balanced. I run my premap as a balanced out from output transformers that have windings for balanced out to my amp that I run a 12AX7 in balanced per amp. You could have a headphone amp run internally as balanced with a single ended out. The sound does improve with this type of setup, imo.
