a while back i built a starving student for my hd555's. not because they needed the extra power, but because i thought the project would be fun, and when i decided to upgrade, i would have a decent amp already. i am considering buying a set of hifiman he-300's, or if my budget allows, he-4's. from what i can tell, the he-300 will benefit from being balanced. on to my question.

i really enjoy the starving student, so i was thinking of building two more, except with the 12au7 instead of 19j6 and setting them up as balanced. i understand what the purpose of a balanced amp is, and in theory how it is implemented. but i am unclear on the details of how to actually wire it. can someone clarify or point me in the right direction? also i would just like to confirm that this is possible with the starving student design, and if it would be better to just build a single ended soha II.
