I have a 4-pin balanced cable where 2 wires had detached from the soldering. I don't have any gears at all for soldering. Wondering if anyone who does DIY in CA bay area who can help? or recommendation for repair service?

Yes that is some bad soldering for sure. Sorry not in the Bay Area but this is a simple fix and for $20 on Amazon you can get everything you need to do it yourself it is very easy to do.

It's the $300 VIVO cable from MrSpeakers so I'm trying to fix it first before consider replace. Didn't expect bad soldering from them...

I want to see if someone nearby can help who already has the equipment before trying it myself. Buying the gears and using it once or twice isn't great. I'm happy to pay someone who has the gears and can do it well already. Thought it's worth a shot.

Yes, I asked if I can send them for repair. They said they do not make cables "here" (guess not San Diego... maybe not in the U.S. either?). Since both the headphones and cable are past 2 years, their last response is "No! Not out of luck at all! You can purchase a new VIVO cable . Here is the link." lol

Try a local hifi shop. They'll either do repairs in house or know where you could bring it. It should only take them a few minutes.
