hey guys. i had a pair of cx 300bs and they broke, and i now have a pair of skullcandy inkd and just purchased a pair of backbeat pros (super.fi 4), becuase they used to be $100, and were now much cheaper.

i dont have the cx300b anymore to compare to, but i remember those were my best sounding earphones to date, but very bassy and thats all i can remember

but compared to my inkd, these backbeat pros dont sound as nice, they sound much more tinny and far like soundstage is less and deprived of bass, and all i listen to is rock.  they are balanced armatures, and ive read that these wont sound any better within the week from break in, becuase they dont break in. please tell me thats not true. and im also displeased that these advertise their isolation as being -26, which i was assuming was much better than the inkd one becuase i tried drumming with them, and they do a worse job. thinking about returning or even selling them to a friend. would the klipsch s3 or ultimate ears 200 or brainwavz m1 have done any better?

and could it be possible the inkd are better than these or is my ear just shotty and i need to learn this new sound?

Armatures, as much as I can tell with the ADDIEMs, A151s SuperFi 4s, and B2s all burned in for me. So Armatures do burn in (this is with the assumption that you believe in burn in). The change in sound is really slow (and small at times) though, so you may not notice it. They do burn in though. The SuperFi 4s are actually decent, but not the best. The bass is OK, but is lacking, that won't come in any better unfortunately.
