[BX5Fan]

I have the BX5 D2's, and as the title states these are the connections I'm using. However, I've seen people using such connections as 1/8 Stereo (M) to Left and Right 1/4 (M). My question would be, is the current connection adequate for this monitors, or should I but those other cables? They seem to be functioning properly, and the manual states that unbalanced connections work, but I come to those who would know more than I.
