Hi,
I bought an iriver h320, but I'm a bit disappointed because I hear a background noise when I listen with my shure e2c. I tried it with both headphone out an line out.
When I try it with my amp there is no noise.
Is there a way to get rid of this hiss?

thank you very much

Lower sensitivity IEMs, inline volume control/attenuator.

I tend to have good results with:

Sennheiser PX-100, Sony EX70, EX71, EX81

As far as not revealing background hiss with my Sony portable equipment.

Either the IEM manufacturers need to get out of the sensitivity/perceived loudness race or the portable player manufacturers need to use lower noise devices.

"Easy to drive" usually means "easy to hear hiss".

A standardized output impedence would help.

the only ways i know of is to add more resistance to the wires, by using an inline volume attenuator, or using higher impedance earphones. most DAPs will have an audible hiss when using low impedance IEMs.
