Hey all
 
I'm in the process of buying the Audio Technica esw9's or the es10's (havent decided which.) I'm waiting to buy the FiiO E17 when ever it finally comes out as my dac/amp. However all I have to listen through so far is my HTC Desire. Does this defeat the whole purpose of the setup? If it does what are the best media players to look at. Is the Cowen D2 right up there?

The ES10 are better sounding than ESW9 and DAPs like HM-601, HM-602, X1060(lineout), S:FLO 2(has line out to use with AMPs) are highely recommended.
