Well after a lot of thought about the many headphones that I have owned I tried to think what headphones I liked the best even though they all have their short comings. After my experience with the SA1000 with their great detail and bright high end I just had to rethink my priority's in what sound I wanted.

I listen to my TV and movies most of the time now and wanted a very good sound stage with great comfort so I ordered the Senn. 595-50 ohm in hopes that I will enjoy them as much or better than my portapros. Any thought on the portapro V the 595-50 ohm?

I think you will enjoy them greatly, whatever you use them for.

I knew Andrea would be right in there with the 595s.

speaking of that andrea, have you heard both the 120 and 50 ohm 595s, and if you have, is there a difference?

I've only ever put my hands on my pair, the 50 ohm version.

(for the record, I have a feeling that the 50 ohm is probably preferable, not only for practical reasons. Not because I have that version.

It's the newer one, and the sennheiser folks don't seem the ones to falter so trivially at all

Also, the 50 ohms voice coils should be rather lighter than heavier, which is for good)
