So some people claim that the Turbines are 90% of the IE8s at about 40% of the price. Some even go further and say that the S4/C710 are 90% of the turbine at 60% the cost.

And so, I ask, is there a phenomenon relating to the Westone 3? I'm thinking: deep powerful bass with sparkling highs and motivated mids.

Any ideas?

W2/UM2? Those are the only one's I've heard of.

I guess I was referring more to the signature of the specific phone rather than the company's overall signature.

If you can score a triple.fi used/cheap on ebay, I think that it's 90-110% of the W3 at perhaps as little as 50% of the price. The only real problem with it is comfort. But I think I liked it more than the W3.
