I know this depends from the source too, but just curious...what tubes are you preferring witht his headphone?

i currently am using 5814s with my 800. some of the 12BH7As i also like. both seem to be an excellent combo. i found the RCA Cleartops to be too bright on top and the Amperex 7316s too warm overall. but i'm sure i will try the latter again at some point. right now, i am very impressed with the 5814s (GE and Raytheons, but looking for CBS and Siemanns).
