B&W P7 or OPPO PM-3 or something else ?

I didn't love the M-100 that much -- the midrange was too muffled for me.

I moved onto Sine with Cipher cable and it was game over. Those are incredible...my keepers for sure.

Thanks for your feedback!
The Sine would have been my choice too if it had been more affordable. :)

I went to another shop today and tried the B&W P7. Really good first impression. I compared it with a H6 and a Momentum Over 2. The Momentum that I liked yesterday sounded really messy and boomy compared to the P7 and the H6 that I didn't like yesterday sounded pretty good (but isolation is not that good unfortunately).

So it will be between the B&W P7 and the OPPO PM-3 at the end!
IMO the P7 has a wider soundstage, more punch, sounds warmer and is a bit more "funny" while the PM-3 has amazing mids, more details and overall a better sound quality but really needs a amp to be great. Not sure which one would be better in the long term... If I had to choose right now I would take the P7 but maybe a more neutral headphone is a better investment...

Any advise would be appreciated!
Thanks guys,

If it's close, pick the more comfortable one, nothing worse than something that you can't enjoy for long periods at a time.

Good call, thanks!
The P7 is more confortable (for me) as the pads are larger and the glasses are not a problem with this headphones... I just find them refurbished for $380 CAD so I can even use the difference to buy a portable amp-dac ($140 as the PM-3 is $520 here in Canada).

That sounds like a good reason to get the P7 then, seems like for you the P7 is more fun sounding, and given the price difference I would get it!
