Blasphemy! Traitor!

*lol* It's true, I'm buying them...mostly because of their design and partially because of their undeserved reputation amongst consumers. I'm mean, have you seen these lately? SEXY!

Actually there is some logic behind this. I need something discrete because I'm very self-conscious. I'd never wear normal headphones in a mall, for example, because people notice them and think you're a dork. Regular earbuds don't work for me because they're always falling out, full-size clip-ons are too big, and I've tried IEMs and don't find them comfortable (and sometimes dislike the fact that I can't hear conversations). Also, they'll impress my friends...and certain other individuals.

Anyway, where can I get these in the US without spending $160 (100 WHAT?!?)?

BTW, I'm also ordering some real headphones soon...Grados/Alessandros, so I haven't abandoned hi-fi.

Eh... don't. If you didn't like E5c, I somehow doubt that you'll like these. They're quite a bit worse in terms of sound quality. Yeah, they're not as bad as most people here will say, but they're way overpriced. If you want style and quality, try the Audio-Technica ATH-EC7. They look almost the same, cost the same ($149 from audiocubes), and sound a whole lot better. And if you're really style conscious, try the ATH-EW9. Gorgeous woody clip-ons with pretty good sound.

B & O is way too overpriced.

I'm sure you've already looked but ebay has a few sellers offering them for about $100inc. shipping. I would do what catscratch says and get quality earbuds from audio technica though, they're bound to sound better. B&O are a bit like BOSE.

I wouldn't consider the wood clip-on...way too obvious and not my style.

I kinda considered the EC7 for a while...but it looks dorky (maybe too star treky) and I can't try it out first (going to a B&O store to check the A8 out tomorrow). Also, I don't recall anybody preferring the EC7 sound-wise. I know it's hard to understand...but sound isn't most important...that's what my Alessandros will be for. As long as these don't sound BAD, I'm happy.

here http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...745685485&rd=1

and i think dont look very nice, and the price is kinda steep for style points.

i think these are some damn sexy buds http://www.audiocubes.com/category/E...Earphones.html
and
http://www.audiocubes.com/category/E...Headphone.html i thought were pretty neat looking, too.

a guy at work has the B&O headset for his phone and brags about it constantly drives me nuts, he was talking to girl about work about and i walked in and told her how much it costs and she laughed at him :p

ive longed belived in the "function over fashion" moto, and it really applies to alot, even cans :p

The first one won't work...they'll get ripped out of my ears without the clip when I bike, etc. (one good thing about IEMs since I've been somewhat negative is once they're in they stay in)

The second one...OMG overdone. The flashiness of the A8s is more subtle. Those would attract too much attention. Also, I can't believe those are comfortable.

I guess you can only get 'em cheaper if you order from HK. Maybe I'll search for a used pair. Thanks, btw...comments appreciated.
