AV710 -- Stupid Jumper Question
Sep 12, 2004 at 1:10 PM Post #2 of 7
It has no effect on the "alternative output" which you will want to use with this card. It disables/enables the use of an opamp on the front output (which will be unused).

Jumpers (both) should be on pin 1and2 to disable if u like. You the rear out and set High resample rate on your sound card.
Trust me, i tested using the telephone flac file and it the green line out plug gave me a distortion whereas rear out doesnt.

Ok, from those first two posts I gather that I'm supposed to change the output to 'rear out' in software, and then also in software change the resampling rate to something higher then the default

? Anyone out there know if there is a guide out there somewhere on how to do this correctly?

Thanks for the link to the guide. After tweaking out foobar2000 as described my only reaction is

. I can't believe how much better this sound card is then my old Soundblaster Live! (original 4.1 edition).
