Hey gunner05, go ahead and return them. I had the same issue immediately after unboxing it. And in a week time, the left speaker blew out.

Have you tried using another cable?
I only recently got my pair and the 3.5mm to RCA turned out to be absolute rubbish.
Right speakers was almost never doing anything, and there was a shitload of crackling.
All those problems were solved by using a cheap cable that was lying around.

With the same cable I connected an ipod and it worked without any issues. So it concluded the problem in the system.
