Hi, I just started a trial for Tidal and I noticed a lot of head-fiers listen to Tidal using Audirvana so I downloaded it. I have to say I don't hear any massive sound quality improvements listening to the same "Master" MQA tracks on Audirvana than Tidal? My setup is windows 10 laptop, SMSL M6 DAC, SMSL T2 valve headphone amp and I am using Sony MDR-1R heqdphones. Settings in Audirvana I have tried ASIO and WASAPI, in asio I have tried Generic USB, DSD/DOP and foo_dsd_asio and all sound very similar? Am I missing something or is it just that the codecs are the same so it is only a choice of interface that influences users?

I used to listen tidal through audirvana on windows 10 and it was noticeable better then through tidal app. I don’t know why but mb because tidal didn’t support wasapi back then, now when they add wasapi support to tidal app I don’t know if there is a difference.
