Audirvana Studio

What's everyone opinion on Wasapi vs Kernel streaming? I find that Wasapi has less detail but it produces a noticeably better bass impact which really helps with estats.

Wasapi is also sounds fuller/warmer and Kernel has a thinner sound. It's quite obvious with estats so I will use Wasapi from now on!

Since the BF2 OG is already a warm sounding DAC, it benefited nicely from the more incisive Kernel Streaming

I found that different headphones benefit from either Wasapi or Kernel Streaming.

I'm also wondering how this is going. It's been a few months so it would be nice to see this implemented.
It was working fine but it was only a 5 band EQ. I don't use this service anymore since I have got a dedicated streamer now (Rivo +).

Is Audivana still going? I remember when they turned it into a subscription service but offered no content - as one would expect with a subscription. I thought the backlash against that was so severe that it effectively killed Audivana.

Don't get me wrong, I like it, but I'm still using version 3 because of the subscription BS

Unless you do streaming you can just buy Audirvana Origin which does local playback only and has all the tools of Audirvana Studio. It is a one time purchase just like the older Audirvana 3.5 .
I've used the legacy 3.5 version too but I prefer Audirvana Origin because it has the analyzer tool to see if a FLAC comes from an actual lossless source or not.

No I don't do streaming so it doesn't make sense to subscribe to studio.

I don't need that as all of my FLACs are ripped directly from CDs that I own, so I already know that the source is lossless.

I'm actually still using 3.2 and honestly for my purposes I don't see any reason to upgrade as I'm happy to treat it as a "drag and drop" player.

I'm still here with the 3.5 for the very limited collection of DSD tracks only
