audiotechnica no longer makes A/D900?

Ive wondered that myself. the ad1000 and ad2000 is also missing from there. Its probably just because they didn't make them to be sold in the US. All 3 are made in Japan while the ad700 and below are not by the way. hmm, maybe they thought it wouldnt sell in the US at the time they made them? what do you think?

I don't know, but I figure it's due to a combination of the higher models being less widely marketed in the US and being shipped from Japan.

As per that website, only those headphones there are officially marketed in the US, the same as it was 3 years; guess they still didn't bring anymore in the US since then. I had to get my AD900 from pricejapan.com back then. Also, this is probably why you get good pricing on the A/D700 from Amazon and similar big retailers vs. the other models. The other models are brought in by specialty retailers or have to be imported/ordered overseas.
