ES7's bass is not weak at all, its actually above average, but certainly not enough to satisfy bassheads. I would recommend ultrasone HFI-780 eardrum-vibrating bass. It has so much low bass that my ears got bass-fatigued (as opposed to treble) after 30mins of hip-hop/rap listening.

Check out the Audio technica ATH-m50. They're JUST big enough to go around your ear without resting on it and have lots of bass. I enjoyed them a lot. Best for techno, rap, r&b, 70's rock with synth, (rush) and other bassy smooth music. Not the best with certain electric guitar and could be smoother and more sparkly but they're only $110. Then again if they're going to be portable they'd make your head sweat big time walking around on a warm day.
