Help me out. I am thinking of purchasing the Stax Classic 3030 system from Audiocubes. The price can't be beat. I do have some questions. These are the 100v Japanese standard and are sold with a transformer to convert to US 110/120. Are there any drawbacks or problems with this set-up? They state there are none and infact note the transformer stabilizes the current/benefits performance. Also has anyone purchased goods from Audiocubes? Good/bad?

audiocubes is just fine, although you will wait for awhile after buying them to actually get your hands on them. they are kind of slow in that regard. but as to the voltage transformer, i use one with my stax 006t without any problems whatsoever so i wouldnt worry.

obviously i cant say for sure, havent seen any tech specs on it, but to my ears there is no noticeable difference. i wouldnt worry too much about it. like i said ive had mine for over a year and enjoyed every minute of it....
