"Audio Technica has released their new flagship ATH-ESW9 Sovereign Wood Headphones. The cans sport a wooden housing made from the Japanese Hokkaido cherry tree. The headphones contain 42mm neodymium magnet drivers that are supported by a fiberglass housing.

The Audio Technica ATH-ESW9 headphones will be available from Audio Cubes on October 19th for $369."

But they can do so much better. Just look at the L3000 and W5000...

This has been discussed before; it's just a wooden version of Audio-Technica's ES7 series and is the top of the line portable model, as was previously stated.

This looks like a "reduced" version of the W1000 (same cherry tree wood). I'd be curious to hear the difference... I'm jealous of the carrying case that is offered with them. I want one for my W1000 too !
