Hello, first post here. I just purcahased a new pair of msr7nc's from local authorized dealer. I went there with intent on purchasing msr7 sound unheard. I ended up getting a discount to move to the msr7nc. I got the noise cancelling version for about $40 cheaper than the msr7. So now, i cant help but wonder, am i losing sound quality with the nc version? Will i be better off paying more to get the regular msr7? Noise cancellation is by no means a neccessity for me. I think it is cool to have the nc as long as i am not sacrificing SQ. Btw, i think they sound great. The bass is tight and punchy, the mids are quite a bit smoother than they were on the sr5bt i owned and the treble is pretty smooth and well defined. As far as nc goes, it reduces static low frequency sounds adequatley. I can definately say they do not touch bose as far as nc goes but they have the msr7nc beat bose in the SQ arena by a decent margin. I believe if noise cancelling is your ultimate concern you will be better served by bose. But if you are lloking for top sound with the added benefit of more noise reduction, then the msr are highly recommended. As for msr7nc noise cancelling on vs off, i cannot hear a difference in the sound when i alternate between on and off. These are the best nc's i have heard. I would like to get a discussion going on the nc vs regular, i own the msr7nc and ad700x right now. I just got rid of my sr5bt a couple weeks ago so k may be able to provide some input for people in the market

If you are happy with the sound, why get rid of them and get something else? Especially if you can't tell a difference between NC and non-NC. There would seem no reason to get rid of them.

As I understood @utlandos85 doesn't hear difference between NC enabled and disabled on MSR7NC. He wants to know if there is any difference between MSR7 and MSR7NC in sound quality. I'm also Clueless cause MSR7 have 35 ohm impedance

and MSR7NC 150 ohm
