Hello,

I've recently ordered a Cowon S9 (order still to be processed). However, since I'm also in the process of deciding if I should stop using IEMs and replace them with portable phones, I'd like to ask a few questions about the S9 to know if I can expect a good synergy or if I should cancel the order and wait for the headphones decision.

First, do you think that the Audio Technica ES10 and the Cowon S9 have a good synergy ? Has anyone tried them with the Sony X ?

Second, as probably a bit of a mid-lover, I'm somewhat concerned about the ES10 mids (supposedly a little recessed, at least in comaprison with the ESW10). If this happens to be the case (at least to my ears

) could the use of VIVA + a minimal use of the EQ be sufficient to bring the mediums to life ? Techfreakazoid wrote in his review of the S9 and the Sony X that VIVA not only expands the soundstage but also bring the mids slightly forwards.

Thanks for your help.
