Audio technica E70 or Westone W40?

I'm about to make a purchase and I would love to know which iem is better. Can you guys please chime in to help me decide?

Thanks

You might check out the Shure SE535 and especially the Campfire Nova--neutral, transparent, exquisitely detailed. Incredibly well made. Worth looking into, for sure.

I haven't heard the Audio Technica, so I can't comment. I like the W40, but it does have some of the frequency response anomalies mentioned, IMO.

The benefits of a portable amp for an IEM is almost negligible. The benefits are usually from the low (<1ohm) output impedance. Just get a DAP with a dedicated amp section. Check out NwAudioGuy's blog if you want to know more about amplifiers and other audio related science.
