Anyone have any knowledge or educated/experienced speculation on when this model will be released in North America?
 
The previous model: ATH-Pro5MK2cm is currently discontinued.
 
The ATH-Pro5MK3 is an updated model with 2 detachable cables, and it looks like slightly thicker possibly more firm ear pads.
 
If anyone currently owns or have heard these, I would like to read your impressions as there is not much information out there on them.

I contacted Audio Technica & one of their distributors. I got no response from AT, but at least got a response from the distributor. All they can tell me is that they currently have no plans on bringing the PRO5MK3 to North America.
 
Kinda sucks for me, cause there is just something about this headphone that I really like, and I want it even though I haven't heard it, but I'm leery about ordering all the way from Japan.
 
Is CDJapan a good company to order from?
