Audio Technica ATH-M50 Help

Hey guys,
 
I have noticed with my Audio Technica ATH-M50 that the bass in some songs is only in the right ear cup, some only in the left and some in both. Is this normal??

Okay, I was just wondering because I thought something was wrong with the headphones.
