I ruined the headphone connector of my brandnew Galaxy Note 2 cellular phone, when a cable got stuck behind a fence. I could have had this connector repaired (?), but I bought an Antec Gain Bluetooth receiver instead. I got a more than reasonable SQ when connected via my Epiphany EPH-O2 or FiiO E11. For some reason, I connected my ATH-M50 directly to the Antec and was amazed that the sound remained so well. That's what made me do this tiny ATH-M50 mod. I cut the cable to a minimum and re-soldered the 3.5 mm connector. I stuck the Antec to the left driver with double sticky tape and here I am:

Hardware:
- Audio Technica ATH-M50 with minor mod
- Galaxy Note 2 cellular phone
- 64GB external SD
- Poweramp for ALAC support
- Antec Gain Bluetooth

Result:
- Ultimate listening freedom
- No microphonic noise
- A SQ of let's say 90% of iPod Touch - good LOD cable - Epiphany EPH-02
