Thanks for review!
Love this amp, it sounds very musical and lively, also it's compact and looks great.

Hi guys! Can you recommend higher quality tubes similar to JJ E88CC? I like their neutral, opened and efortless sound, but in comparsion with Genalex Gold Lion, there is a little lacking in micro-details and speed.
Is it worth to try Gold Pin version of JJ? Or maybe Cryo version. Thinking about Tesla ECC88 also.

Hello. I have ECC88 and they work nice on my amp. Right now Im lintening on my Iphone 5S with Audioquest Sydney Cable and My Grado RS 2i at really low volume and I have a big smile in my face.

I had a problem with my Power Suplly cable and I had to change the fuse. I made the mistake to try to subsitute with other power suply and the power button got damage. So if you have the same problem I suggest to find help with a pro.

Has anyone tried linear power supply with this amplifier? I tried one from ebay, there are pros and cons. Images are larger and closer, the bass is more powerful, but there is some kind of smoothness of transitions. A standard power supply provides more driving sound and nerve to the vocals.

I have not tried yet but every liner/SMPSs maybe sound diffrent due to diffrent EMI/RF signature etc.
I have read a local blog(sandal audio-san) he tried some SMPSs(3-4?) for his mighty Chord Qutest. He found that all SMPSs sounded diffrent FYI. maybe nothing is neutral...

I know this thread is a few years old, but I need some advice. I have the HA-22TUBE and I have misplaced the AC adapter. Should I attempt to purchase a replacement from Audio Technica or do you suggest an alternative, such as a linear power supply?

I am trying to find a replacement power supply for my HA22TUBE at the moment and do not want to damage the amp. How did the power supply you substituted damage the power button? Was it 15V 1.2A still?

I like sound with supplied power supply more, it's more dynamic. Linear power supply is okay, but there is problem with a non-standard power connector, it had to be changed to a suitable one or you have to use 5.5 x 2.1mm Female to 6.0 x 4.4mm Male adapter. You may also try iFi Audio iPOWER 15V/1.2A.

Thank you! I was actually looking at that iFi power supply but didn't think it would work because it was didn't have a 6.0mm adapter. Have you used the 5.5 to 6.0mm adapter before? How durable is it? I wish I could find an AC adapter that was terminated in 6.0x4.4mm but they seem to be uncommon.

Fi power supply but didn't think it would work because it was didn't have a 6.0mm adapter.

If you'll find a suitable adapter with pins in order, then there's no reason why this shouldn't work.
