A fellow down the street from me has a pair of these for sale.  They were made back in the early 1970s.  Anybody have any experience with these?  Anything I should look or listen for when I go see them tomorrow?

just be sure to test them. a lot of older electrets- like these- tend to get very quiet- sometimes in only one speaker. i have had a few bad 1970's electrets, including these ones

I have a pair of these AT-705 electrets, bought new in the 80s. With enough amplifier they sound excellent, but are clearly more of a collectible.

Do they have any value?
