  They're the same design. The clamping force on both is literally the same.

As far as I remember, they don't actually hold on very well, and for my (smaller) head the AD-Series does slip off if I headbang pretty hard. (that's not to say I did while listening to my friend's pair, but they do kinda slip off a little when I look down.) Also, to note, make sure the wing system kinda "works out" for you, my dear friend actually hates it.

The rubber band mod  (stretching a rubber band to connect the two wings solves this problem, and improves the cound IMO.
