Hey, this is only my 2nd or 3rd post on head-fi. Since you guys all seem like audio pros, I've come here to settle my dilemma.
Dilemma:
I recently purchased AD700 off a friend for 60 bucks. He mentioned that it would be a good addition to have a good soundcard to add to the sound. I am primarily using these headphones for gaming(FPS: cs 1.6 to be exact). The problem I am having is that I can't install a soundcard on my laptop, so i did some preliminary research on external soundcards. I have found:

My main concern is do these external soundcard/dac provide clarity and good positional audio?
I have no idea if cs 1.6 utilizes all those fancy sound enhancements like dolby, eax, since its like a 10 year old game.
If anyone has a better suggestion for a reasonable price please help out. & any sort of explination would do a great deal in helping me choose. I am one of those nerds who likes to know why things work.
ps. I may be switching back to a desktop in the near future so. one of those laptop plugin sound cards is out of the questiosn thanks!
