Well, I told my wife last night I was done buying headphones.

She laughed at me and said "For now..." with a smile, but I really meant it.

Why, you ask?

Sennheiser HD600. Stock cables, nothing else, and they are far and away the most amazing audio experience I've ever had.

I returned the Ety 4s and conversion cable I bought last. I didn't like the isolation, and they remained uncomfortable to me even though I tried to get used to it. My breathing roared in my ears like a freight train. Bottom line, didn't like 'em. Went ahead and traded them in for the HD600. And I'm floored.

I enjoy my Grado SR-80's. They sound good. But not like this. I also tend to develop fatigue or a headache after 15-20 minutes using them. Not the HD-600's. I've had them on for hours.

This Keith Jarrett Trio album (Standards in Norway) never sounded so good.

Of course, I might have to get another amp, but I like the sound of my Creek OBH-11 right now.

For now...
