Is it possible to bypass the amp, but use the DAC of a device that has both?

AKA I want to use the amp on my Cmoy instead of the amp of... a Claro Halo, but I want the DAC on the Claro Halo to be used. So is there a way to avoid the double amping? Or would it be better to just get a different standalone DAC or just use the Claro Halo?

what you need is an rca->1/8" cable. then you can connect from the two rca connectors on the back to your cmoy. this way the signal your cmoy gets is bypassing the amp in the claro halo. hope this helps

Yes, it does. Thank you very much.

Just out of curiousity, if anyone has the time to answer... but WHY does that bypass the amp on the Claro?
