Hi, Im looking into getting active speakers and was concidering getting a high end audio interface, as I would also like a mic input for use in games. Rather than a headphone amp/dac.
Not sure if this is a good idea.

Has anyone tried Steinberg interfaces? Specifically the AXR4U? Whats the headphone out like? Can it drive most headphones? What sort of presentation does it have?

My two cents, get the Creative Labs AE-5 sound card, connect it's front speaker jack to the active speakers.
