So I am looking for an audio interface that i'll use for my mac to listen to music to. I have no idea about audio, so I don't even know if things fit together :D Is the Roland Quad-Capture UA-55 a good one? I will be using it along with my Beyerdynamic DT 770 80 ohm headphones. I also want to hook it up to some studio monitors in the future, so that opportunity will be great to have. Will I need an amp? If so, what would be the best solution? I will spend somewhere around 300 dollars.

I have the same setup that you are talking about with another computer. I prefer Focusrite to anything else, especially their scarlett series. I have a Focusrite Scarlett, with 2 M-Audio studio monitors (which have built in amps). This is really the best setup i can think of. Speakers were $500 and I think the Scarlett was 200 or 300 dollars.
