Hey folks. I just plugged in an Audio GD r2r 11 DAC/Headphone amp. Using Foobar and MusicBee as players, WASAPI out in the the DAC.

While playing back redbook FLAC files, there's a ticking noise that occurs about 4 times per second. It sounds like it's mixed low in the music, but it's definitely present. TCH TCH TCH TCH

Anybody have pointers? What should I be looking for here?

Almost sounds like vinyl surface noise. It's happening for every file.

I downloaded the Amanero Combo384 drivers here [https://amanero.com/drivers.htm] and ran the exe install file for Windows 10. It appears to have fixed my problem, I'm not hearing the crackling anymore. Nothing has changed other than a new driver install (cables, AC power, etc etc are all the same).

Unless I update this thread again, the issue was that my PC did not grab the most up to date version of the driver and I was able to find it directly fro the Amanero site.
