Both these cards provide a stable +/- 2.5V through some sorta very stable splitter.I played the THX subwoofer test through my HP805 40Ohm phones at a very high volume when measuring the voltages with the PC casing turned upside down.
The Input 5V is obtained after being filtered by an ST LDO regulator.
Now,arent the voltages too low ? I mean why ? Couldn't Creative have taken +5V and -5V directly from the output of the 2 regulators instead of splitting one reg's output ??.But i digress.Actually,I was thinking of somehow providing a heavily filtered +/- 12V to the opamps.
Should be easy or maybe NOT.
