simple quick question. Are the Gaming effects sent through the Digital Out of my Audigy 2 ZS?

Yes, EAX effects are directly sent out from all outputs.

You can always get a simple 3,5mm-> 2 rca cable. The left channel gives the sp/dif signal. Or was it the right?

If your using the OEM audigy 2ZS card, you need a mono mini to RCA cable. This is given that your input to your DAC or audio device takes in RCA.
