I'm looking to modify my Audigy 2 after seeing this thread:

Can someone with experience tell me if the Audigy is DC coupled, and if not which are the coupling caps? Plus any general experience modding this card would me much appreciated.

Try PM'ing Glassman. He is pretty knowledgable about the Audigy's output stage (I think he even designed an alternative one to try to make the thing sound decent).

I have no electronic/solder skills, so the route I took was to hand it over to MisterX...he'll swap some or all channels' opamps for a fee...foobar2000 & kernel streaming sounds great! It was worth it to me than going with another card since gaming:music is 50:50.

Used to do loads of CD player mods, but my eyesight isn't so hot these days cos of diabetes, so I may well get someone else to do it.
