I have has my Audigy 2 and ATH-500 headphones for a few months. I have just used the drivers off the cd that the sound card came with. The sound was very good. Then I decided yesterday to check if there have been any updates on the soundcard drivers. So there was an update for Mid may 2005. I install them and my sound change tottaly. I dont know if its good or bad because I am so used to the old sound. Music sounds pretty musch basicly the same as I feel it may not be as clear, but I really cant tell. Playing games like counter strike the positioning is now crazy. before It positioned, but now it is really in detail to wear it is on the phone.


Did anybody else experience this.

Make sure you have selected 2/2.1 Speakers in headphone settings.

I have it selected as headphones,

why speakers




actually it was set to speakers, wouldent I want headphones.

No. The headphone processing of current Creative cards apparently is of very low quality. Plain 2.0 output still is best.
