Hello to all,
At the moment I've paired my audezd sine headphones to the xdp300r dap, se and using the variable line out. With this i often find myself maxing the volume, especially on the subway.
I've ordered mezze 99 balanced cables to use the balanced output to get a bit more juice.
My question is, should i consider a separate amp to bring the most out of the headphones? considering this is my only pair and doubles as on the go and at home use.
If yes, is using the SE lineout on the dap to an amp, and then outputing balanced from it to the headphones a dumb idea? Does it do anything, considering the dap output is via SE.
Also, can i use the balanced out as lineout ti a portable amp or home stereo? I am asking as i read that the dap doesn't use both dacs when operating via the se output.
